Now, it holds over 450 stores, including fast food restaurants, arts and crafts stores, jewerly shops, bookstores, clothing stores and much more. It is 10 minutes away from our hotel.  

CENTRO ANDINO, RETIRO & ATLANTIS:
Three very modern luxurious malls with the most exclusive shops and modern movie theaters.

Just 10 minutes away from the hotel you will find "Parque de la 93", where you can choose from a variety of bars and restaurants. We recommend "El Salto del Angel" and "El Sitio", 2 unique locations offering a great variety of liquors, cocktails and very good music.

EL BUQUE: This restaurant simulates a ship, is a 100 meters away from the hotel. It offers an exquisite and fresh variety of fish and seafood in different preparations. The plates recommended of the house are lobster, seafood festival and cream of crab.

CARBON DE PALO: A Steak House of excellent environment and service complemented with a good table; it is possible to go walking 10 minutes from the hotel. It offers a complete menu of national and imported liquors, typical decoration and waiters show.

VAQUERO PARRILLA: A Steak House located in front of the Hotel.  Its specialty is Grilled Meat, with an excellent attention and service. Enjoy the Happy Hour from Monday to Saturday, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

JAPANESE 

HATSUHANA: Two blocks away from the hotel you will find the best restaurant in this type of food.  “An oasis from the Empire of the Sun in the middle of the savannah”. The best Japanese restaurant offering Sukiyaki and Tepanyaki food. 

Its Oriental decoration has Gardens and a large variety of musical instruments, weapons and lamps.  There is also a little Colombian touch: a wall where you can write or draw some things related to the place is like the “Hall of Fame”.

EL MANDARIN:  Located one block away from the Hotel.  It offers an exquisite menu from which we recommend the Chupachan, Tender Loin and the jumbo shrimp in oysters’ sauce

CITY TOUR
Tour of the most important streets of the Candelaria, historical places like the   Bolivar Square, The Seventh and Jiménez Avenue. You can visit the Gold  Museum where you will be able to appreciate the most representative objects of the pre-columbian cultures. You can also visit Botero’s Museum with 85 works of international artists and more than a 123 created by Master Fernando Botero and Monserrate Hill.

SALT CATHEDRAL-Zipaquirá
70 million years ago began the formation of the Colombian eastern mountain chain, sheltering in its interior one of the biggest deposits of salt in the world “Zipaquirá's Salt Dome".

Once  these deposits of Zipaquirá, Nemocón, Sesquilé and Tausa were discovered, they were exploited rudimentarily by natives who named "Chigua" the dark blocks of salt that were flowing from the mountain. Inside this mine, a church of salt was built.

This half day tour begins in the Savannah of Bogotá, getting to the town of Zipaquirá, where you can visit the Salt Cathedral.

GOLD MUSEUM
The metallurgical work, the myths and the beliefs of 2.000 years are represented in the Gold Museum of the Republic Bank, platform of a wonderful trip through the pre-columbian cultures

It keeps 32.000 pieces of pre-Colombian gold, where Quimbaya Treasure is outstanding. It also preserves 13.000 ceramics.

The museum is located 30 minutes from the Hotel on the Carrera 6. It is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Every Sunday and Holiday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The last day of every month the entry is free.

LA CASTELLANA NATIONAL THEATRE
Located on the Street 95 No. 30-13, 10 minutes away from the Hotel, the Theatre offers temporary presentations for those who prefer enjoying a good play.
